Say goodbye to guesswork with Influencer Goals

It’s easy to say:

“I want to grow my following on social,” “I want more brand collaborations and opportunities,” or “I want to post more consistently.”

It’s difficult if you don’t offer yourself small steps to get there. Not setting goals for your growing business is like wandering in the woods without a map. Or running a marathon without a finish line. Or getting into the driver’s seat without first checking the fastest route on Google Maps.

Not setting goals means working without direction or a clear vision of success. That's why we're incredibly excited to introduce Influencer Goals on Fohr, a tool to help you grow your following, improve consistency, and measure success.

Read on for more on why we created goals, including a step-by-step guide on how you can set your first milestone using a free Fohr account!

Better business practices start with goals

As an influencer, staying organized and focused on your goals can be challenging. Between creating content, engaging with followers, and collaborating with brands, it's easy to lose sight of what you want to achieve (outside of getting that bag). Measuring and tracking your progress regularly can help you stay motivated and focused on growing your accounts. As James always reminds on Negronis with Nord, the main focus should be building an audience, then monetizing it.

The goals module allows influencers to select pre-filled goals and track their progress on the road to accomplishment. Using the new Influencer Goals tool on Fohr, you can set milestones to achieve and help take your business to the next level.

How to set goals with Fohr

To use Goals, you only need to create a Fohr profile and connect your socials! Here’s a little more, broken out step-by-step.

Step 1: Choose a goal type

You can pick from four goal types: interactions, followers, testimonials, and posts. Keep reading for more on these goal types.

Step 2: Add the details

Write a goal name, choose the social platform, add a deadline, and assign the value. (Pro tip: Use your Month in Review tool to see last month’s analytics, then use Goals to improve them!)

Step 3: Check on your progress

See where you’re improving or what you still need to work on to hit your milestone. We recommend logging in at least once a week — if not more — to see how you’re pacing towards those milestones you set.

Step 4: Set your next goal

Look at you, overachiever. Come back to set more goals once you’ve achieved them.

Tips to get the most out of your goals

Set holistic goals for key social metrics

There are so many markers of success as a creator, from follower engagement to purchasing behavior. You can set unlimited goals — but our team recommends starting with one of each type and expanding that by platform if you’re feeling particularly inspired. Here’s the goal type breakdown from Fohr:

  • Posts: How often do you want to post on social media?
  • Followers: How many new followers do you want to gain?
  • Interactions: How many likes, comments, and shares do you want to get on your content?
  • Testimonials: How can you collect more insights from your audience to better represent them, understand their purchasing behavior, and tailor content towards them?

Track your progress automatically

Fohr takes the heavy lifting out of goal tracking. Set goals in Fohr and track them automatically so that you can break up with spreadsheets, journals, and a million analytics tools. We’ll also be here cheering you on with weekly updates on your goal progress so you never miss a beat.

Take a sustainable approach to motivation

It's not always easy to stay motivated. Life happens. There are a few things you can do to keep on track.

  1. Make sure your goals are realistic and achievable.
  2. Break down your goals into smaller, more manageable steps (think: a follower growth goal for the month, quarter, and year).
  3. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small.
  4. Never judge your failures; learn from them.

Finally, find (or even start) a community of other influencers working towards similar goals. Interested in joining our community? Follow us on social to find like-minded creators like you.
