From Sponsored Post to Movie Magic
Timm Ciusano, a longtime fan of New Balance, known runner, and former ABC Sports/ ESPN marketer, was a natural pick for the brand’s launch of the 1080v14s. When briefed to prioritize an entertainment-first approach, he delivered, albeit with a hiccup. He planned to run around NYC in a chromakey “green screen” body suit to, via a pinch of Movie Magic, highlight literally just the shoe, but, due to technical difficulties, ended up with a video of a green man running in the New Balance 1080v14. We at Fohr jumped in the day the video went live, adding the heretofore missing Movie Magic, and this second cut delighted viewers (including Timm), further propelling the awareness of the launch at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Timm beat us to the finish line and posted his own case study, resulting in “bonus content” for all on Linkedin.
